Afghani Politician’s Escape Memoir: My First Ghostwriting Project

This was my first ghostwriting project — a memoir for an Afghani political figure who built his country’s roads before a regime shift forced him to flee. We captured his powerful escape story through 12 hours of interviews interpreted by his wife. Though the book was never completed, the project preserved critical historical insights and proved I could handle emotionally charged, high-stakes narratives under intense time pressure.

Doris, a Florida-based retiree, spent decades handwriting her dreams — and wanted to turn them into a novel. Over 16 months, we worked closely to transform her notes into Gators in the Soup, a vivid Southern dreamscape of memory and meaning. Tragically, Doris passed away just three months after publication — but her story lives on in a book her family treasures. 

From Sketch to Story: A Young Hero’s Journey Through the Digital World

A nonprofit-focused client came to me with a unique concept: turn a drawing her daughter made into a young adult novel to raise awareness about AI and online dangers. Inspired by the childlike wonder of the artwork, I wrote a 15,000-word story about a young heroine who enters the internet through a magical portal and discovers its hidden risks and rewards. The book was designed as a learning tool and was field-tested with teachers and their students. Though the client loved the finished work, life took her in another direction and the book was never formally published.
